Gordon Michael Fern was born on September 30, 1948 in Baldwin, Wisconsin to the late Anthon and Olive (Konshaug) Fern and passed away at the age of 70 on November 20, 2018 in Baldwin as the result of a heart attack. Gordon is survived by his wife, Genevieve Fern of Baldwin; son, Brian Fern of Chicago, IL; and daughter, Amy (Jeremy) Pickerign of Boyceville, WI. At Gordon’s request, a private family gathering was held followed by interment in the Baldwin Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Gordy was a good friend in high school. I thought of him often and always hoped we could visit again someday. See you on the other side my friend.
As a”Town Kid” for many years, living on the West side of Hwy 63 and Gordy on the East we had many opportunities to hang out together on the South side of Baldwin. Carefully crossing 63, Riding bikes, playing near the creek, or a soft ball game by the church parking lot. As a kid it was easy to get intrigued by many electronic tools to fix or repair TV’s and radios in His Dad’s shop. Gordy was always a kind friend growing up, we’d avoid the bullies, swim at the pool, buy candy at the drug store. I only wished to have see Him at our last class reunion , B.W. Class of ’66

I want to extend my sincere sympathies to Gordy’s family. We had many good times playing in the neighborhood together. My brother Richard and Gordie spent a lot of time together. Although through the years we have lost track of each other Gordy was often in my thoughts. It was shortly after my husband passed that Gordie sent me some pictures of us as children at the lake. We will always Cherish The Memories We have a Gordie.

I just found out about my uncle’s passing. His sister Kathleen passed on November 8th and it saddens me that he didn’t know and that he passed shortly after. He and his friend were great uncles to me as a child and I was fascinated by the model airplanes they loved to fly. RIP Uncle Gordy
