Gerald H. “Jerry” Germain Age 75 Somerset, Wisconsin died on Saturday, December 17, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. His devoted wife Geraldine spent every day of his 5-week hospital stay by his side. She was so grateful to get him home for 4 days last week. He was born on April 18, 1936, in Somerset, Wisconsin, to Thomas & Cecelia (Crotty) Germain. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jim Germain; sisters-in-law Rose (Demulling) Germain & Barb (Durand) Germain; nephew and godchild Charles Germain. Gerald worked for Andersen Windows for 37 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed 20 years of retirement, spending many winters in Arizona with Geraldine golfing with friends. He was especially proud of his family. Gerald loved farming and looked forward to when he could bring his IH 706 tractor “Big Red” out of the barn. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening and spending the day at the casino. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Geraldine (Demulling); children, Gary Germain, Dale Germain, Shelly (Gary) Jessen, Debbie (Marty) Olson; siblings, Vince (Annette) Germain, Melvin (Claire) Germain, Theresa (Harold) Rivard, Betty (Kenny) Hoverman, Joanne (Clinton) Pfluger, Eileen (Allen) Struemke, Tom (Sue) Germain, Louis (Lori) Germain; grandchildren, Kevin & Kristin Jessen, Justine, Grady and Brodie Olson; and also his extended family, Michael Wente & Paul Hermodson. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday December 22, 2011 at ST. ANNE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Somerset, Wisconsin. Visitation is 1 ½ hours prior to the service at the church. Spring interment will be at St. Anne’s Cemetery
