Gerald Arthur Boucher, age 64, of Somerset, Wisconsin, passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer on August 27, 2016 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Gerald served in the United States Army from 1969-1972 and was a heavy equipment operator for the local 49ers. On May 22, 1976 he married Deborah Bushweiler, on this day Gerald’s family grew by two children Todd and Chris Breault. From this union they had two children, Tammy (Brian) Cook and Jared (Jodie) Boucher; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rice, Kaleb Cook, Owen Boucher; and soon to be great grandson, baby Rice. On August 15, 1992 Gerald married his wife, Charlene Campeau; on this day Gerald’s family grew by two more children, Jennifer (Christine) Campeau, and Nathan Rivard; grandchildren, Emma Rose, Ryan Rivard, Owen, Hannah, and Liam. Gerald is also survived by his brothers, Ken (Nancy) Boucher, and Allen (Gina) Boucher; sisters, Janet (Jim) Crotteau, Elaine Knutson, Marion (Ray) Olsen, Pat (Jerry) Erickson, Leona Walker, Toni (Jerry) Robinson, Suzanne (Wilfred) Roettger; as well as, many, many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Boucher, Lois (Hurst) and Evelyn; brother, Lyle Boucher; sisters, Donna Mae Thurmes, and Arlene Schmaker; brothers-in-law, Basil Schmaker, Henry Walker, and Hubert Thurmes.

Gerald is forever loved and missed by his community of family, friends, and his beloved dog Sam. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday September 1, 2016 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church 141 Church Hill Road Somerset, WI 54025. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Friday September 2, 2016.
