Gasper Wayne Campeau Sr., age 60, of Somerset, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on December 7, 2023. He was born on August 20, 1963, to Gasper and Doris (Lemire) Campeau in Somerset. He worked for nearly 37 years at Andersen Windows. For many years, he worked the overnight shift so he could own and operate his own construction business & loved using his backhoe.
Gasper was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Charlene Boucher.
He is survived by his loving family, wife, Michelle “Shelly” (Potting) Campeau; children, Amber (Brandon) Getschel, Gasper Jr. (Jordan Neuberger) Campeau; grandchildren, Taryn O’Hara, and Colt Campeau; siblings, Allen (Cindy), Dale (Judy), Bob (Mary), Julie Hansen, Sue (Ron) Reyer, Andy (Ron), and Nancy (Rick) Manske. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Gasper was very soft-spoken. So much so you often found yourself agreeing with him without even knowing what was said. He loved fishing, cooking, and riding his motorcycle with his wife and close friends, Jeff and Wendy. He would dance anytime given the opportunity and gave the best hugs. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, particularly riding the four-wheeler with Colt and watching Taryn play sports. He was truly the glue that held and holds this family together, as he is gone but not forgotten.
