Gary Olsen

Gary, a loving husband, caring father, and friend to everyone he met passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 16, 2011. Gary’s family and friends were the most important part of his life. He spent summer weekends at the family cabin fishing and relaxing with his wife, Shannon. Gary had a soft spot for animals and much of his time was spent enjoying the outdoors with his dogs. He had a passion for cars, the Packers, Brewers, & Rousch Racing. From his morning coffee with friends to dinner out on Friday evenings he will be missed by many but never forgotten. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bernice Olsen; brother, Jay; sister-in-law, Doris Olsen; nephew, Jerry Johnson; niece, Sandy Ludwitzke. Gary will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Shannon (Dowd); children, Sally (Heather Schommer), Matthew (Tracy Danforth), Jay; Granddaughter, Tobi; brother, Perry; sisters, Bev (Ray) Nutzmann and Mary Jo (Clinton) Johnson; in-laws, Tom Dowd, Pat (Mary Jo) Dowd and Kathy (Chuck) Borgstrom also many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday November 22, 2011 at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Visitation 4-8 PM Monday at the CULLENCREA FUNERAL HOME 307 S. Arch Ave. New Richmond, Wisconsin and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment Parish Cemetery.
