She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna; her husband, Francis “Slim”; her son, Jeff “Tate”; and her siblings, Margaret, Marie, Buddy, Norman, Kenny, Anna Mae and Mildred.

Mass Of Christian Burial for Evie was held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 12:00PM at Immaculate Conception Church (151 S. Washington Ave) New Richmond, Wisconsin, with visitation starting at 11:00AM. Interment is in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

I am so sorry for the family’s loss. Evie, you were a beautiful soul and you went in time to be with Tate to have lemon meringue pie for his birthday. Much love and a hug up to heaven.

I had the privilege of getting to know Evie when she started subbing in our card club! I’d give her rides to the card club, so we spent time in the car chatting and getting to know each other! What a neat lady she was! Kind, caring, and loved her family! She always had a smile! She was a good card player too!! May her memory be eternal! 💕

My very special neighbor lady who was like a 2nd Mom to me. We would go on long walks around New Richmond, share recipes .remember mutual people from Clear Lake. I spent hours with Slim & Evie with laughter and a beer. I helped her with projects at the house and tried to visit as often as I could. She loved fresh flowers. She was very strong in her faith and her love for the Lord. I am so happy that you are in heaven and have been my loved friend! I will miss you!

Dear Evie, what a loss to all that knew you. I especially remember you at Bartels Day Care. You always had a smile and welcomed our girls with open arms whether we were dropping off or picking up, the girls loved you! . Privileged to have met Mike (Syke). Prayers to the family. Chuck and Nancy.

My condolences to the family. Evie was a friend and classmate of my mom, DonnaMae Olson Getschel. They got together and talked about all the fun they had back in high school. Now heaven has them both…probably still talking about the good old days!
