David ‘Duane’ Moore, age 87 of Clear Lake WI, formerly of Baldwin WI peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 16, 2025. Duane was born March 12, 1938 in Ihlen, MN, along with his twin, John ‘Wayne’ Moore. Eventually the Moore family settled in Clear Lake, WI. It was in Clear Lake where he met his high school sweetheart, Kaye. They were married in 1958 and were inseparable for nearly 67 years. After living in Minneapolis, West Allis (Milwaukee area), and Emerald, WI, they settled down in Baldwin WI, where they raised their three children Daniel, Cheryl, and Jonathon. A few years after retirement they moved back to Clear Lake residing at the Ridgeview Senior Apartments.
Duane worked at Heebink Lumber and Millwork for about 15 years before becoming a custodian in the Baldwin-Woodville school district. He truly enjoyed being a father figure to many kids (many times acting as a big kid himself), as well as the friendships he developed with teachers and staff. He passionately served at the First Baptist Church in New Richmond as an elder for many years and enjoyed decades of singing in the church choir. Duane loved the Lord and was always willing to share his faith and knowledge of the Bible.
He is survived by his loving wife Kaye, children Dan (Tammi) Moore (Woodbury, MN), Cheryl (Ken) Holland (Great Falls, MT), and Jon (Karrie) Moore (Wisconsin Rapids, WI); grandchildren Ben Moore, Rebecca Moore; Alyssa Holland, Tyson (Macy) Holland; Ariel (Kevin) Mayes, Tyler (Emily) Moore, Bria Moore, Maverick Moore and Tayha Moore, as well as 6 great-grandchildren, and sisters Mary Danchenko (Maumelle, AR) and Pam (Dave) Reed (Mount Herman, CA).
Duane is preceded in death by his parents, Arvil and Rebecca, and siblings Robert, Marjorie, Dennis, Jim, Patti, Wayne, and Diane.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the caregivers from St. Croix County Health Care Campus and Lakeview Hospice for providing kind and compassionate care for Duane.
