Donald H. Wilson, age 91 of Deer Park, WI, died on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at his home. Don was born the son of Ernest and Gladys (Flatten) Wilson on April 4, 1933, in Amery, WI. He grew up in Amery and attended Amery High School. Don served his country in the United State Air Force from 1951 – 1955. He was married to JoAnn Rooney on November 21, 1952. They settled in Deer Park, WI in the 1970’s. Don was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Little Falls Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, smoking his pipe and sipping whiskey on the porch, watching television, and tinkering with his tractor. He was a hardworking man with a good sense of humor and was always willing lend a helping hand. He enjoyed following his children and grandchildren in their activities. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Gladys Wilson; wife, JoAnn Wilson; daughter, Margaret “Tina” Warming; brother, Gerald Wilson; and sisters, Gwendelyn Coley and Geraldin Girling. Don is survived by his children, Donald (Becky) Wilson, Pam (Ronald) Bell, James (Barbara) Wilson; son-in-law, Scott Warming; grandchildren, Jason Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Wendy Wilson, Donald (Keri) Reed, Blake (Anna) Bell, Tamara (Matthew) Taschner, Vickie (David) Hill, Shawna (Nick) Engstrand, Andrea (Josh) Warming-Broom; great-grandchildren, Cody Garcia, Jaclyn Reed, Emma Taschner, Ava Taschner, Dylan Hill, Beckham Hill, Madison (Jaden Petersen) Engstrand, Hunter Engstrand, Brock Engstrand; great great grandchildren, Tatumn Petersen, Houlton Engstrand; sisters, Cindy (Tom) Henck, Kathy (Roy) Bell; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11 am at Little Falls Lutheran Church 1272 44th Ave, Amery, WI. Visitation was also on Saturday from 10-11 am at the church. Interment in Wagon Landing Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
