Dennis Widenstrom

In loving memory of Dennis “Denny” Widenstrom. Denny had various jobs throughout his life, but his favorite job was a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy. He had 29 years of service. He was very passionate about his work and served the community of Mahtomedi. Everyone knew Denny and most people had a story to share of a time he helped them or their family. He also loved the outdoors, his boat, fishing, hunting and trapping. He could spot any animal anywhere. He was a loving and protective father and grandfather.

Denny is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean Widenstrom; children, Paul Widenstrom (Shannon), Melissa Curtis, Cindy Hasman (Matt), Ryan Widenstrom (Dawn); grandchildren, Zoey Lukacs, Anika Lukacs, Randi Netteberg (Nick), Joe Curtis, Mia Widenstrom, Chace Widenstrom, Brittany Sassen (John); great grandchildren, Arian and Jaylon Day, Vivian Netteberg, Nolan, Eastson, Tucker, and Lexi Sassen; brother, Phil (Mary) Widenstrom and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Widenstrom; sister Ethel Mae Hiben; granddaughter, Natasha Lukacs; and son-in-law, Bryce Curtis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday May 28, 2024, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Stillwater, Minnesota. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to Mass at the Church. The family would like any memorials to be directed to copline.org in lieu of flowers.
