Deb Larson

Debra Larson age 63 of New Richmond, WI passed away peacefully at Regions Hospital on Monday, March 16, 2020.  Debra was born on October 21, 1956 to Allen and Betty Lou (Parent) Larson. Debra was a bookkeeper for many years and later worked in retail. She was always an avid reader who chose books and working puzzles over watching television. Debra was a woman of deep faith who enjoyed visiting different Catholic churches in the area and traveled to Italy to visit religious sites and shrines. A devoted volunteer at Children’s Hospital, Debra adored entertaining young cancer patients and bringing a smile to their faces. Although Debra never had a dog during her entire life, yet while in chemo treatments a golden retriever therapy dog visited her several times.  She couldn’t say enough about how comforting and relaxing it was, not just while the dog was there, but during the rest of the treatment.  Because of the dog, she almost looked forward to the next treatment.  Debra was comforted in her final years by a loving group of friends, family, and classmates from New Richmond High School. She will be fondly remembered for her beautiful smile and friendly personality. Debra was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
