David Crosby, age 69, of New Richmond, Wisconsin, passed away at his home on December 7th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 13th, 1953 to Carl and Mary (Brehm) Crosby in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
David graduated from New Richmond High School in 1971. Shortly after, he joined the Marine Corps and on September 2nd, 1972 he married his beloved wife, Connie (Anderson) in Clear Lake, Wisconsin. After their wedding they lived in Beaufort, South Carolina for 3½ years where David was stationed. During his career he worked on the AV-8A as Ordnance Line Chief in the first Harrier Squadron in the United States. In May of 1975 he was honorably discharged as E-5 Sergeant. Shortly after, David and Connie moved back to New Richmond, Wisconsin where they lived the rest of his years. David had different careers throughout his lifetime, most notably as an Artificial Insemination Salesman for Select Sires before moving to Consolidated Energy Cooperative/Energy Plus as a Petroleum Sales Specialist, eventually becoming General Manager where he retired in 2014.
David loved spending time with his beloved family up at the lake, spending his winters down South with Connie and the many motorcycle rides they went on throughout the US. More recently he was able to travel internationally to Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland. He was very involved with his family. He loved to hunt in Clear Lake each year with his grandchildren. He loved attending all sporting events from track and volleyball to horse rodeos. He spent his mornings at Dunn Brothers with the “coffee grinders”, trips to Sturgis with his fellow Sturgis friends, participating at church as a trustee and serving on the Finance Council. He also served as board president for the NR Hockey Association where he was a zamboni driver, announcer and rink flooder. Throughout the years he would chaperone kids for the dairy show in Milwaukee at the WI State fair, both the good and the naughty. Each year he helped out with the dairy show at the St. Croix County Fair, was a tour guide for Farm City Days and after retirement, working summers at Bomaz Farms. One of his favorite past times was riding his Harley and serving as Secretary/Treasurer for the HD Riders Motorcycle Club, and the list goes on. David was truly loved by all, making new friendships anywhere he went.
