Corinne Monette, 76, of Somerset, Wisconsin died on March 31, 2015. Corinne was born on August 9, 1938 to Joseph “Ralph” and Eldora (Cook) Beauvais in Somerset, Wisconsin. Corinne earned a degree in nursing from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. She owned and operated a business, Shinako campground and resort, for many years in Haugen, WI with her family. She enjoyed being in the American Legion Auxiliary and League of Women Voters. She was involved in the National Democratic Convention and many other local, state, and national political projects. Corinne also enjoyed gardening, flowers, camping, fishing, garage sales, playing the organ and keyboard. She loved to dance, cook and spend time with her family. She especially loved to have long conversations with family, friends, or anyone around her. She took pride in her children and grandchildren and all of their accomplishments. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph “Ralph” and Eldora Beauvais; grandparents, Eli and Edwedge Cook; infant son, Brose; and brother, Tony Beauvais. She was married to Ronald Monette in July of 1959 and from this union they were blessed with 5 children. Robert (Cheri) Monette, Kim Monette, Edward (Judy) Monette, Jeff Monette; grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, Megan, Haley and Edward. She was the eldest of 10 children. Her siblings include Elaine (David) Olson, Joseph Beauvais, Martin (Joan) Beauvais, Linda Beauvais, Dale Beauvais, Larry (Cathy) Beauvais, Cheryl (Bob) Wold, Robin (Maggie) Beauvais as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday April 18, 2015 at ST. ANNE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Somerset, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the CHURCH. Interment at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
