Catherine Grace Germain (Raleigh)
February 18, 1970- June 18, 2025
Catherine Grace Germain, 55, of Osceola, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 18, 2025. Born on February 18, 1970, in Osceola, Wisconsin to Donald and Mary Raleigh. Cathie was the middle child of seven.
Her home growing up was filled with outdoor adventures, spending many days at their family pool and around the St. Croix River. Cathie lived a life full of compassion, faith, and unconditional love for her family, friends, loved ones, and especially children.
She used that love by dedicating much of her life to running an in-home daycare, where she became affectionately known as “Miss Kitty”, and nurtured and loved countless children over the years. Her home was filled with laughter, learning and the warmth only she could provide.
Cathie had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Whether it was singing around her kitchen, praising the lord, or bringing joy to those around her.
Her deep love for God guided every part of her life. Cathie’s faith was her foundation and she lived it out in quiet strength and service to others.
Cathie was the heart of her family- steadfast, loving and full of grace. She was married for 35 years to her teenage sweetheart, Brian. Together, they enjoyed road trips, music festivals, spending time on the river, and raising their family. Together, Brian and Cathie had three children- Tim, Maggie and Abbie.
That love grew, by adding five grandchildren to their family- the loves of her life, Keegan, Jace, Quinn, Noa, and Landyn.
Cathie adored each of her grandchildren more than anything in this world and made each feel so loved and special by doing crafts, finding treasures at garage sales or thrift stores, and singing and dancing around the house.
Cathie was survived by her husband of 35 years, Brian Germain; her three children, Tim Germain, Maggie (Jake) Loberg, Abbie (Alex) Germain; loving grandma to five grandchildren- Keegan, Jace, Quinn, Noa and Landyn; her parents, Al and Mary Stiles; her siblings, Dorothy (Don), Don (Marnie), Connie (Travis), Dave (Julie), Dan (Jennifer) and Theresa (Jeff); her in-laws, Denise (Randy), Allan (Jelaine), Jerry (Betsy), Eric (Sue), Steve (Melanie) and Carolyn (Scott); and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Raleigh; brother, Timothy Raleigh; and her in-laws, Dennis and Velma Germain.
Cathie was the most beautiful soul and leaves behind a legacy of love that will never fade.
A celebration of life for Cathie is being held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 2:00-6:00PM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S Knowles Ave) New Richmond, Wisconsin with a brief prayer service starting at 5:45PM. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

I cherish the rare childhood memories when our families got together. I do remember being amazed at how wonderful her voice was. We are all saddened by your loss. I can picture her wrapped in her father’s arms singing praise to our lord. Love Dave and Shelly Lessard and Family.
Cat was a vivacious, fun-living force! I was always happy working, or singing, or socializing with both Brian and Cathy. I feel blessed with the times we had. My love to all her children, and Brian. And to her very sweet Mom Mary and Al.
