Augustine “Augie” Jusaino Chavez 10/10/2024

Augustine “Augie” Jusaino Chavez, age 84, died on October 10, 2024 at the Deerfield Gables Care Center in New Richmond, WI. He was born the son of Augustine and Felicitas Chavez on September 14, 1940, in Paul’s Spur, AZ. Augie grew up in Pirtleville, AZ, graduating from Douglas High School. He later went to college in Arizona. Augie married Roxana Yoli Toscano in 1962 and were married 44 years until Roxana’s death. He served in the United States Army. Augie worked for Redlands Daily Facts and Colton Courier as a production manager. He had a passion for learning, making computers and was always taking college courses. Augie loved playing music, smiling, and was a loving father.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Roxana; son, Augustine; and parents, Augustine and Felicitas. Augie is survived by his two daughters, Roxana (Charles) Hewitt and Ana Lorena Blanchfield; grandchildren, Charles Hewitt, Cassie Hewitt, Jason Hewitt, Augie Chavez, Matteo Blanchfield; and several great-grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest in the sunny state of California. Augie said he was solar powered and loved the sun. Cremation Services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
