Vernon Timm 11/06/2026

It is with sadden hearts that Vernon Timm lost his battle to cancer on November, 6 2026 Vernon was born on March 8, 1956, to Virgil and Agnes Timm. Vernon graduated from New Richmond High School in 1974. After graduation he married Susan Olson where he welcomed Vincent, Jessica, and Jonathan. Later in life he married Sandra Ista and they welcomed Samantha.

Vernon tried his hand at racing at Cedar Lake Speedway and other area racetracks. He enjoyed rebuilding motors and working on cars.  Hunting, fishing, ice fishing and enjoying a leisurely motorcycle ride going nowhere were also favorite past times.

Vernon did welding and factory work at Blanco, Ideal Door, Federal Foam and ended his career at K-Tek.

Vernon spent any spare time he had woodworking with a special enjoyment in Intarsia designs as well as small engine repair. He really was a jack of all trades and there was nothing he wouldn’t try to tackle.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Jessica, Jonthan (Chuck Prissel), Samantha; grandchildren, Hunter Childs and Abbi Connors; sisters, Donna Timm, Diane Tainter, Debbie (Gary) Bauermeister and Dixie (Paul) Erickson; mother-in-law, Marie Ista; sisters-in-law, Sue (Don) Amundson and Sally Ista; aunts, Pat Piechel, Mary (Barney) Krattley, Loretta Larson, Audrey Larson; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Vernon is preceded in death by son, Vincent Timm; parents, Virgil and Agnes Timm; father-in-law, Wayne Ista; grandparents, Vilas & Mildred Timm and William & Agnes Phillips; aunt, Carol Colbeth; and uncles, Frank Piechel, Leroy Larson and Mike Larson.

Thank you to Adoray Home Care & Hospice for taking care of Vernon and making him comfortable in his last days.

Those who knew Vernon will remember him in their own ways. We honor his memory with respect, gratitude, and hope that he rests in peace.  Vernon will be missed by all and reunited with his family in Heaven.
