Jackie Rosauer was born Jaqueline Faye Stefonek in St. Paul, MN, on June 21^st, 1941.

She grew up on the Stefonek family farm near Boardman, Wisconsin, and attended St. Anne’s Catholic School in Somerset.   She graduated from New Richmond High School in 1959, where she met her husband, Duane.  Jackie completed a degree in chemistry at UW-River Falls and married Duane in 1963.

Jackie and Duane welcomed son Mark in 1964, and daughters Mary in 1965, Michelle (Micki) in 1967, and Margaret (Peggy) in 1968.

Jackie waited tables at Lundeys and the Laurel in the evenings when her children were small, and took a job at Dental Arts in Amery, Wisconsin when it became clear that at least three of them would need braces.  After retiring from Dental Arts, Jackie cooked at the Amery hospital until 2000.

Jackie volunteered hundreds and hundreds of hours for the church over the years, both at Immaculate Conception in New Richmond, WI, and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Erin Prairie, WI, managing the Sunday school program, being a Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan, sewing baptismal gowns and cooking and serving.

Jackie enjoyed meeting people and visiting with her cousins, aunts and uncles throughout the years.  She loved sewing and quilting and met many friends through the Apple River and Quilt Guild.  Her kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews (and some grand-nieces and nephews) enjoyed the quilts she made for graduations, weddings and new babies.   She also enjoyed flower gardening and cooking and was always trying new recipes and reading cooking magazines.

Jackie was preceded in death by her grandson Alex Johnson and daughter Maggie (Peggy) Johnson,  siblings Terri Pearson, Jim Stefonek, and Nita Stefonek, brother-in-law Ron Boe, and parents Virgie and Joe Stefonek.

Jackie is survived by her husband Duane, son Mark (Reiko) and grandson Allen, daughter Mary, daughter Micki and grandchildren Megan, Sophie, and Josh Gray, son-in-law Curt (Peggy) Johnson, and siblings Karen Stefonek, Rick (Linda) Stefonek, Renee Boe, Jody (Jon) Ebert, and brother-in-law Dan (Terri) Pearson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 11:00AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church (1880 County Rd G) New Richmond, Wisconsin with visitation starting at 10:00AM.  Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery immediately following mass.
