Michael Parnell 09/21/2026

Michael Parnell was born in June 1945 to Dennis and Yvonne Parnell who lived in Somerset. He grew up on the family farm where he developed a fondness for horses and a hatred of chickens.
After graduation from Somerset High School he joined the Air Force. He served for 4 years as a jet engine mechanic in CA and Okinawa, Japan.
After his service he got a job at United Airlines in San Francisco where he met his future ex- wife, Jacci, and had his 2 amazing children, Jennifer and Ryan.
He enjoyed boating and camping and lived in CA until he retired from United Airlines in 2001. He returned to Somerset to retire and live out the rest of his days. He enjoyed visiting with friends at the local drinking establishments, watching CNN and visiting with family.
He will be missed by his friends and family for his wit and humor but most of all for his generous heart of gold.
He is met in Heaven by his sister Jan and is survived by his brothers and sister, Dick, Don, Brian and Roxi, his children Jennifer and Ryan, his son-in-law Steve, his grandchildren, Zoe and Justin, and his long-time partner, Joy.
