David Crawford 06/13/2026

David Charles Crawford, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Born on February 16, 1937, in the small town of Lakefield, Minnesota, Dave lived a life filled with love and dedication to his family and work. Dave was a 1955 graduate of Lakefield High School and from Hamline University in 1959.

Dave was a well-respected Marketing and Sales Manager in the printing industry for 38 years at 3M and was awarded the Marketing Excellence Award in 1996.  His creativity and keen insights were instrumental in shaping successful campaigns.

He was a member of the St. John’s Masonic Lodge #1, Stillwater and St. Andrews Lutheran Church, in Mahtomedi.  Dave loved to golf, duck hunt and fish.  He and Joan spent many years raising English Setters and English Cockers.

Dave is survived by his wife, Joan Crawford; children: Patrick Crawford (Colleen), Daniel Crawford (Colleen), Andrea Potterton (Keric) and Susan Forsythe; grandchildren, Christopher Crawford, Stephen Crawford, Austyn Franklin (Jon), Haley Potterton, Isabella Potterton and many other great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Vera Crawford (Johnson); sister Patricia Woody (Dr. Charles) and wife, Charlene Crawford (Laursen).

Dave will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Stillwater, Minnesota.

A private memorial service has been planned.
