Marilyn John, age 82, peacefully passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Marilyn grew up in St. Paul’s east side and was a 1961 graduate of Harding High School.
Marilyn was united in marriage to Aloysius John on October 6, 1962, at Sacred Heart Catholic church in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Marilyn is preceded in death by Russell and Genevieve Turnquist and James and Estelle Bibeau; siblings, Louis DeLisle, Sharon Bear and Wally Turnquist.
She is survived by her husband, Al; children, Deanne (Carl) Kaeding; Jodi (Dave) Elliott and Jim John; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Glenn Turnquist, Joy Litt and Ricky Turnquist; along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lakeview Hospice for their incredible care that allowed Marilyn to remain at home throughout this journey.
A celebration of life for Marilyn is being held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 starting at 3:00PM at the home of Carl and Deanne Kaeding in Somerset, Wisconsin.
Cremation services provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation services.

We were honored to have known Marilyn and make so many memories with her and her beautiful family. She is deeply loved and will truly be missed. I’ll miss her laugh and beautiful smile. Sending you all hugs and much love. Wish we could be with you in June but hoping we’ll see you all in August.
Marilyn, sweet and funny Marilyn! I have such great memories of you that I will cherish forever. You and my Mom (Cheech), were more like sisters than cousins! She loved you so so much! I’m am sure you have found each other and are hugging and enjoying being free of any pain
