Donald Wayne Harwood, age 64 of Piper City, IL, died on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Westfields Hospital in New Richmond, WI.  Don was born the son of Robert and Anna (Hammer) Harwood on April 6, 1961 in Kankakee, IL.  He grew up in Chebanse and Kankakee, IL.  Don worked as an EMT, CNA, and in home healthcare.  His passion was to be a florist, and he spent a number years working as one.  He was an outgoing, friendly man with a great sense of humor.  He was always willing to lend a hand, and was an excellent caregiver to those in need.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Anna; brother, Robert; and sisters, Gwendolyn, Janice and Sharon.  Don is survived by sister, Donna; brothers, Ronald and Danny; extended family, Jan and Gerrie; and many nieces, nephews and friends.  Cremation arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
