Ray Lynn Weeks, 75, of Cylon, WI, passed away on December 20, 2025, at Westfields Hospital, surrounded by family after a long illness. Born the son of Henry and Doris on September 30, 1950, in Des Moines, IA, Ray moved to Cylon in the mid-1950s and made it his lifelong home.
Ray graduated from New Richmond High School’s class of 1968 and kicked off his career in the early 1970s working alongside his dad at Weeks Concrete Products. He later became a partner in the business and proudly ran it until his retirement.
Ray had a zest for life, enjoying long car rides with his longtime companion, Bernell Handrahan. He was a devoted family man who loved attending his grandchildren’s activities and was never happier than when he was tinkering in his shop, fixing lawnmowers. He cherished visits from friends, especially his brother-in-law, Butch Tuenge, and looked forward to daily coffee chats with Bud Henderson and Sam Erickson.
Ray is survived by his beloved Bernell, his daughters, Terri (Douglas) Peterson, Chris (Dave) Humphrey, Jennifer Weeks, and Shari (Chad) Waters; and his grandchildren, Koehler, Cody, Jack, Blake, Sam, Emma, Hannah and Olivia. He will also be missed by his sister, Connie (Mike) Fuller; sister-in-law, Betty Weeks; special friend and brother-in-law, Butch Tuenge; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other cherished relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Jacob; and brothers, Lyle and Marion.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Ray’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services, 728 S Knowles Ave in New Richmond. A memory-sharing service will take place at 6:00 pm, allowing all who knew and loved Ray to come together in remembrance and share their stories. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
