Evelyn C. L’Allier was born April 9, 1937 in Pontiac, Michigan to Edgar & Genevieve (Peloquin) Proulx. She married Eugene “Gene” L’Allier on Oct. 5, 1957 in Somerset, WI. For more than 30 years Evelyn was a bus driver for the Somerset School District and took great pride transporting her school children.
The spirit and joy of Christmas was ever-present in Evelyn’s life as she delighted in decorating the L’Allier home for the holidays, even opening her doors for house tours. She cherished family traditions passed down from her Mother, was a fabulous cook, and loved nothing more than being with her family.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Arlene Plourde; brother in-law, Bob Johnson. She is survived by her brothers, Melvin Proulx, Allen (Rhonda) Proulx; sister, Blanche Johnson; children, Denise (Damian) Pray, EJ (Bernie) L’Allier, Brenda (Roy) Gruel, Rochelle (Tony) Tan; grandchildren, Ashley (Romer) Ortiz, Jessica (Josh) Gelsomino, Ryan (Taylor) Pray, Brianna, Nicole and Tyler (Elizabeth) L’Allier, Jordan Gruel, Jordan (Sydney) Lance Tan; great grandchildren, Jax, Henry, Amelia L’Allier, and Genevieve Gelsomino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at ST. ANNE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Somerset, WI. Visitation one hour prior to service at CHURCH. Interment St. Anne’s Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
