A. Maurice Baillargeon, age 91, of New Richmond Wisconsin passed away from natural causes on March 16, 2011 at Westfields Hospital, New Richmond with his loving family surrounding him. Born November 27, 1919 in Somerset, Wisconsin to Oliver & Lucy (nee Parent) Baillargeon. Maurice graduated from Somerset High School and was employed with Armour Meat until enlisting in the US Army during the WWII conflict. Maurice was an avid cribbage/card player and would enjoy challenging anyone. He served as the parish deacon for St. Anne’s Church for over 20 years, touching many people’s lives. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 63 years, Lorraine; infant son, Maurice Joseph; 9 brothers & sisters. Survived by children, Gerald (Peggy), Judy (David) Griese, Maureen Baillargeon, Joseph (Sheryl), Raymond (Terry), Anthony (Bernie), Mary (Edward) Casey, Lee (Debbie), and Rita (Geof) Strom; grandchildren, Angie, Daniel, Brian, Wendy, Kris, Tabitha, Scott, Lisa, Dana, Robert, Paul, Alicia, Joshua, Ernie, Michelle, Ben, Mary Jean, Jay, Shawn, Jeff, Bethany, Bruce, Drew, Clint, Curt, and Cory; 24 great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, March 19th (11:00 a.m.) at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 139 Church Hill Road, Somerset, Wisconsin. Visitation Friday 4:00-8:00 p.m. at church and also from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday. Interment parish cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Anne’s School.
