Catherine “Marie” Zeier

Catherine Marie Zeier age 100 of New Richmond, Wisconsin died peacefully on Thursday April 4, 2013 at Westfields Hospital after suffering a stroke on March 26, 2013. Catherine was born on December 12, 1912 in Winfield, Illinois to William & Mary (O’Donnell) Zeier. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Richard Zeier, Joseph Zeier, Dr. Francis Zeier Donald Zeier, and Robert Zeier. Marie taught school for a total of 43 years. She taught grades 4 & 5 at the Huff Elementary School for 23 years. Marie was an avid gardener and loved to go to all the church dinners in the area. In 1977 she moved to New Richmond, Wisconsin. Church and religion were a big part of her life. She is survived by her loving family; nephew and God Son, Richard Zeier; sisters in law, JoAnn Zeier and Doris Zeier as well as other close family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and cared for her. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday and received numerous cards of which she was so proud of. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday April 9, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond, Wisconsin. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at CHURCH. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred. Please join the family immediately after the Mass for a luncheon to be served downstairs at the church. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery Elgin, Illinois.
