Louis Arand, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 20, 2014. He was born on Sept. 28, 1927 to Percival and Anna Marie (nee Krabacher) Arand. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael; brother, Edward and sister Marie. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Claire “Judy” Arand (nee Martin); children, Tim (Bough) Arand, Conni (Gary) Barger,daughter-in-law Tracey Arand; grandchildren, Kevin (Laura) Arand, Tom (Leah) Arand, Michael, Mitch, Mikaela Barger; 1 great grandchild, Kaden; siblings, Bob, Clarence, Art, Dick, Anne, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lou lived all his life in Cincinnati, Ohio until the last year. He attended St. Patrick’s School in Northside and graduated from Roger Bacon HighSchool in 1946. He worked for 31 years with the US Postal Service until retiring in 1993. Lou loved spending time with his family as well as bowling and his favorite hobby fishing. Lou will be missed very much and always remembered by his family and friends. A visitation will be held Sat., Jan. 25, 2014 at 10 A.M. at ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH (509 Harrison Avenue, Harrison, Ohio) with an 11 A.M. mass to follow. There will be a celebration of life at the Compass Point Club House in Harrison following mass. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to the family or the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 1834, Merrifield, VA. 22116
