Della Parent, age 78 of Somerset, Wisconsin died on Monday March 3, 2014 at The Gathering in Stillwater, Minnesota. She was born on August 12, 1935 in Centuria, Wisconsin to Allan & Ruth (Heisley) Alwin. Della’s passion in life was her family, friends and of course golf. All of her life she worked very hard and was proud of her accomplishments. She cherished her three children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Della was a master at the game of golf and enjoyed canning veggies, making dinner rolls and maintating her awesome yard and flower gardens. She will be most remembered as a loving free spirited person who never gave up the fight and would do almost anything to win the battle. To Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and Sister, we love you and will miss you dearly. Rest in peace and give Dad a Hug and Kiss from all of us. Della was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Myron, father & mother in law, Edward & Delia Parent; brother in laws, Harold Parent, Harold Salmon, Hank Aiken, Chester Sievert, James Carroll, sisters in law, Betty Aiken, Shirley Adamson, Corrine Sievert, Elizabeth Parent. Survived by her children, Kenny (Laurie) Parent, Steve (Jodi Thompson) Parent, Denise (Bruce) Laiti; grandchildren, Chad, Amie (Brad), Jeremy (Steph), Luke (Jeanette), Emily; great grandchildren, Ian, Paige, Dylan; brothers, Deryl (Lorraine) Alwin, Donny (Bernie) Alwin, Duane (Judy) Alwin, Dwight (Shirley) Alwin, step sister, Bonnie Billman; sisters in law, Virgie Salmon, Bonnie Sievert, Sheryl (Bob) Cunningham; brother in law, Bob Adamson also many nieces, nephews & friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Friday March 7, 2014 at ST. ANNE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Somerset, Wisconsin. Visitation 1 ½ hours prior to the service at the CHURCH. Interment St. Anne’s Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
