Kunz, Mary “Kate” age 84 of New Richmond died peacefully Sunday November 2, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at Deerfield Gables. Kate was born on October 2, 1930 in St. Paul, MN. To Peter & Beatrice (Kelly) Tierney. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing and loved to cheer on the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Most importantly Kate cherished time spent with her family and friends. She is preceded by her parents and son Michael. Kate is survived by her loving husband Bob of 62 years whom she married in 1952 at St. John’s Church in St. Paul, MN. She is also survived by her children, Gregory (Cathleen) Kunz, Barb Kunz, Linda (Ronald) Gibson, Josephine Kunz, and Thomas (Amy) Kunz; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 sister-in-laws, Marilyn and Marv. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 A.M. on Thursday November 6, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church in New Richmond, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the MASS all at the CHURCH. Interment is at the parish cemetery with a lunch to follow in the church basement. Pallbearers will be Bob Springer, Matt Springer, Mike Kunz, Ryan Kunz, Mike Gibson, and Matt Tierney
