Jesse Alan Skramstad passed away peacefully on July 23, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loving family following a brave battle with cancer. He knew he would win the battle either way. Either he would beat cancer, or he would be going home to Jesus. He is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa (Teri); children, Jacob Skramstad, Brian Rominski, Lauren Rominski, Benjamin Skramstad, and David Skramstad as well as his grandchildren, Isabel and Gabe; mother, Donna Skramstad; siblings, Wade (Katie), Eric (Sandi), Brock (Rhonda), Sonya (Dan) Breymeier, Lori (Ken) Jenderny, Kurt (Cari); also many nieces and nephews. Jesse was surrounded by a very large and extended family. Jesse was an avid race fan especially at the family race track Cedar Lake Speedway, where he was score keeper and flag man for many years. He retired from the Air Force after serving 21 years. He started his own company in 1999 performing non-destructive testing services and solutions for many private companies as well as branches of the military, NASA, and SpaceX. He was dedicated to the Church and trained to be a Lay Minister and Lay Leader of Prayer. He had a special dedication to Mary and prayed the rosary daily. Jesse brought communion to the patients at Holy Family Hospital for many years. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He lived his life to the fullest and his children were his greatest accomplishments. Visitation 4-8 PM Sunday July 26, 2015 at the CULLEN CREA FUNERAL HOME 307 South Arch Avenue in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday July 27, 2015 at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH 151 South Washington Avenue New Richmond, Wisconsin. There will be no visitation prior to the Funeral Mass. A private family interment will take place later at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
