Judie Johnson, age 82 of New Richmond, Wisconsin, formerly of Amery died Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Woodland Hills Assisted Living Facility in Hudson, Wisconsin.
She was born on August 10, 1943, in Emerald, Wisconsin, a daughter of Edmond and Pearl (Olson) Bonte. She attended Glenwood City High School and graduated with the class of 1961. On September 8, 1962, she married Kenneth Johnson in New Richmond.
She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, making blankets camping and riding ATV’s with her husband Kenny, planting flowers and gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a tender heart of gold and always put the needs of others ahead of her own. If someone needed a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on, she was the one to go to, she would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She was the rock of her family and never let anyone leave without a hug and a kiss goodbye. She was member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Amery and held the roll of Vice President at the Amery Community Center. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Karl Spath. She is survived by her husband; her children, Shelly Johnson of Hammond, WI, Troy (Tiffany) Johnson of Spooner, WI, Brad Johnson of River Falls, WI; seven grandchildren, Kayla Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Travis Johnson, Sienna Johnson, Tabitha Lindgren, Jagger Johnson, Tanner Johnson; four siblings, Janet (Neil) Strand, Mary Bonte-Spath, Barbara (Doug) Bonte-Osborne, and Sue (Howard) Lee.
Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 151 S. Washington Ave, New Richmond, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family interment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Dear Judie, I will never forget how sweet and helpful you were; I will miss you! I’m sorry I can’t be there to say goodbye. You will have a special place in my heart and on the shelf here with the rest of the family members who went before you.
