Stephen Lee Pitschneider “Pippy”, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
Stephen was born May 28, 1958, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Robert and Mary Lou (Koukal) Pitchneider. He was the youngest of three siblings.
At the age of 3, Steve’s family moved to Star Prairie, Wisconsin, to run a grocery store, Bob’s Market. Steve attended Star Prairie Elementary School and graduated from New Richmond High. He attended WITC – New Richmond for Packaging Machinery.
Steve worked at Bemis, a global manufacturer of packaging materials, for many years. His career took him to many countries all over the world. He also worked at Weigh-Rite Scale for many years.
Steve loved hunting and fishing with his friends, with the celebratory Budweiser afterwards. He also loved entertaining at his lake home.
Steve was preceded by his parents, Robert and Mary Lou; and his brother, Bobby.
He is survived by his sister, Kathy Cowan; niece, Jennifer (Gary) Giller; nephew, Travis (Holly) Krueger; great nephew, Evan Knutson; great nieces, Ella and Macy Krueger; many other relatives and friends including Govy, Vern, Joe, Tony and Pete.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00PM, at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S Knowles Ave) in New Richmond, Wisconsin. There will be a short service at 3:00PM and a time for sharing stories about Pippy. Interment will be in St Bridget’s Cemetery in Stanton, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
