Dorothy Dahl 03/13/2025

Dorothy Christine Dahl age 80 of Luck WI passed away at the Comforts of Home in Hudson on March 13th 2025. Dorothy was born to Henry and Sarah Norden on April 2nd, 1944 in San Diago, CA., the youngest of 4 children. They moved back to Polk County and lived on the family farm. She attended Cedar Lake Grade School in Polk Co. While attending grade school she contracted polio, so she was unable to walk to school. With her Mother’s persistence for her to get better, she took her to chiropractors where she regained ability to walk again and went on to high school in Osceola.
She met Kenneth Dahl at the Deronda Roller Rink and later married on May 19th, 1960. They had 5 children. She worked on the farm, at Wanderoos Cheese Factory, and many years in health care field. She divorced Kenneth and later married Donald Thomas. Donald had 4 children. They spent many years traveling and spending winters in Florida and Arizonia. They finally settled in Luck WI. After many years together they decided to go their separate ways. Dorothy remained in Luck taking care of several elderly women in her home. She remained in her home until her health declined and she moved into Assisted Living.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry, Sarah and step-father, Albert LaRose. Her brother, Sherman, her husband’s Kenneth Dahl and Donald Thomas. Her step-daughter in-law, Angie Thomas and step granddaughter Jessica Thomas.
She is survived by her sister, Loretta Rosetta and her brother Carl Norden (Gail).  Her children: Steven Dahl (Patti), Roger Dahl (Lorene), Randall Dahl (Marge), Sue Shelby and Carla Jacobs. Step-children; Bill Thomas (Karen), Doug Thomas, Matt Thomas (Juanita), Shelly McCormick (Rob).  Her grandchildren: Nathan Dahl (Christine), Tiffany Carr (Waylon), Michael Stepnowski (Alaina), Keith Stepnowski, Bobbi Jo Schultz (Billy), Landon Shelby (Holly), Garrett Shelby, Parker Shelby (Shakayla), Randi Dahl (Maria), Kerry Dahl (Kayla).  Step grandchildren: Justin Thomas, Michael Thomas, Brent Thomas, and Emmy McCormick.  31 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews, friends and family.
A Celebration of Dorothy’s Life will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 1:00 pm – ??? at the UW Wanderoos Outback Shed 1629 70th Ave. Amery WI 54001.  A meal will be served from 1:00 P.M. -3:00 P.M.
