John Christian Hansen 1942-2024
He was born in Willow River, MN in 1942 to Christian and Casmira Hansen. John went to college at the University of MN and spent the vast majority of his working life at 3M working as a chemist.
He was a devoted husband and father. In 1966, he married Judith Ann Lanthier who was his constant companion up until her passing in 2012. In 1970 they welcomed into the family a son, Christian and in 1972 a daughter, Christina. In his free time John enjoyed woodworking, stamp collecting, gardening and tinkering with anything mechanical.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Judith, brother, Joe and sister Gloria. He is survived by his son Chris, daughter in law, Teresa, daughter, Tina, grandsons, Cody, Joseph, William and Caleb, and great grand daughter Jocelyn.
Funeral service was held on November 2 at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (6770 13th St S, Lake St Croix Beach, MN 55043). Visitation will be at 10:00 with a service at 11:00. Donuts and coffee will be served after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Autism Speaks would be greatly appreciated.
