Dorothy Romoser 04/24/2013

Dorothy Belisle Romoser, age 78 of River Falls, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Boutwells Landing Care Center in Stillwater, MN.  Dot was born the daughter of Frank and Betty (Newell) Belisle on October 22, 1934 in Woodville, WI.  She grew up in Menomonie, WI, graduating from Menomonie High School with the class of 1952.  She went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin Stout as a teacher.  Dot was married to Bill Romoser on August 22, 1957 in Menomonie.  She taught Home Economics in Manitowoc, WI and Antioch, IL.  They moved to River Falls in 1963.  Dot worked as a substitute teacher and at the University of Wisconsin River Falls in the Department of Communicative Disorders.  She was a member of PEO, Music Madams, and the River Falls United Methodist Church where she was the organist for many years.  She also volunteered at the Ordway in St. Paul and played the arena organ for UWRF hockey games.   Dot loved music and teaching piano lessons.  Dot was kind, compassionate, and an incredible grandma.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Betty Belisle.  She is survived by her husband, Bill Romoser; daughters, Mary Romoser, Ruth (Rick) Berken, and Martha (John) Arlandson; grandchildren, Vincent Berken, Maxsen Berken, Jacob Arlandson, Billy Arlandson; brother, Jim (Marge) Belisle; and many other relatives and friends.  Private services for family will be held.  Memorials may be directed to the William and Dorothy Romoser Scholarship Fund at the University of Wisconsin River Falls.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
