Will Miss Ruth (and Princess) a lot. A neighbor “up the block” that everyone should have the blessing of having close by. Barb and Charlie Kolpin and the girls – Sarah, Katie, Suzy and Amy.
I will miss skiing with Ruth, we always had adventures. We have another angel singing and playing her violin
We will miss skiing, hiking and walking with Ruth, especially having many adventures on the land she owned south of town. She was a very dear friend for over 35 years and will be greatly missed.
Ruth was a very special lady. Children in church always wanted to hug her and she was a joy to sing with in the choir. I will miss her sense of humor.
I have so many memories of Ruth, most notably singing alto in the choir together. She was one-of-a-kind; so caring in her own unique ways. My sympathy to Dave and Suzannah.
Many fun times driving to Lay Academy and back with Ruth! She was a joy to travel with, and called me a curmudgeon because I didn’t enjoy singing!
Oh Ruth. Such a treasure you are for so many. You always had a kind or funny word to say to everyone. We should all be this giving. I am so happy to have known you. Blessings to Dave and Suzannah and all of those you touched.
A few years back on Sunday mornings before church, Ruth and I would share ideas we’d heard from Krista Tippett in the radio program “On Being”. It was a delightful exchange. Whatever Ruth did, she entered with joy and enthusiasm. I am sad to hear of her death and send sympathy and good wishes to her children.
Always enjoyed our cross country skiing outings and all the other outdoor activities we did. Sympathy to he family,
Lori Elliott-Larson
Ruth was always welcoming when I spent time at her beautiful home hanging out with Suzannah and the gang. Thinking of you and your family Suzannah..
Although it has been many years since I saw Ruth, I remember her fondly as the mother of my very first best friend. She was always patient and kind, and was a wonderful role model. Much love to David and Suzannah during this difficult time.
