An evening out is social time\, a way to meet others and find some ongoing support after a loss\, especially in nature. \nLocation: Either the Roberts Park Building or the Pavilion (an email will be sent a few days before the picnic to confirm which location as both buildings have restrooms and share the parking lot). \nGrilled meat provided by Bakken-Young. Please bring a Potluck dish or something to share & BYOB. DESCRIPTION:Free Grief Support Webinar\nDinner for One: Shattered Hopes and Dreams After Your Spouse or Partner Dies\nZoom Meeting on Tuesday\, April 22\, 2025\, 6:30 – 8:00 PM with Ted Bowman. \nLoss is common. Even so\, some losses carry more weight than others. For this session\, the death of a partner or spouse will be the focus. Attention will be given to the layers of loss after such a death with suggestions for grieving processes that promote healing. Practical steps to take as time passes will be included. Here are some examples of topics: \n\nbecoming a widow or widower\nabsence of regular routines\nloss of intimacy\naddressing the tasks done by the partner/spouse\nfamily responsibilities (caregiving)\ndaily reminders from morning to going to bed\n\nAbout the Presenter\nTed Bowman is a widower\, since 2020. He is also a father\, stepfather\, grandfather and brother.
