I had the pleasure of working with Jan at Westside Elementary in River Falls for many years. She loved teaching science to my 5th graders, and she believed in students discovering concepts through hands-on activities. Sending my heartfelt sympathy to all of you.

Jan was a beautiful soul, woman, leader and friend.

She was one of those people you just thought would live forever… it just wasn’t possible to imagine her anywhere else but here and doing what she loved to much. She was a precious, wise, soul with the prowess of a lion. Both strong and somehow beautifully merciful. My heart hurts to have lost her friendship and to say she will be sorely missed is a colossal understatement.

Our love and prayers are extended to the family during this time of great loss.

Loved Jan. Knew her thru CSR. She helped me rescue my very first dog Harpo who has passed and now my second cocker. Whom I love also now. An amazing woman whose love for dogs was part of her life path. She was truly loved by us and her rescue dogs. My sincere sympathy for her family and friends. We will all miss her.

The Bible helps us to appreciate that God cares for us, and in the near future, there will be a time when God will “wipe out every tear” from our eyes, and “death will be no more” Revelation 21:3, 4. Please take care of yourselves and each other and know that our thoughts are with you.

I remember the day Jan brought our Chloe pup to our house when we adopted her in Minneapolis. Jan was the kindest, warmest lady you’d ever met. I’ll never forget her. She is a wonderful women who well never be forgotten. Her passion for rescuring dogs was amazing.
