Jim was a dear cousin and a remarkable and talented man. I wish we could have spent more time with him after I moved to the west coast. We enjoyed our all to short visits with him and hearing about his many interests and achievements. We send our heartfelt sympathies along with our love and prayers to his family, Kay and Dick Ritter

Jim and I worked together at Ocean Spray where we became friends. We attempted to climb Mt. Rainier but Jim gave up his summit bid when his sister turned around and Jim felt the need to stay with her. Jim joined our group twice hiking for a week in the Alps. Jim had recently received medical treatments but he was able to complete the hikes. Everyone came to respect Jim for his fortitude and strength. He was a good friend who made all of us better who knew him.
