Virginia Pederson 10/10/2014

Virginia A. Pederson age 95 of New Richmond died Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Deerfield Gables Care Center.  She was born the daughter of Arthur and Esther (Stroberger) Miller on May 26, 1919 in Appomattox, VA.  Virginia married Parnell Pederson.  The couple made their home and raised their 5 children in New Richmond.  Virginia was a long time member of First Lutheran Church and active in the Ladies Aid.  She was a loving mother and grandmother. Virginia is survived by her children, Gary Pederson of New Richmond, Gail Casey of Stillwater, Joel (Judy) Pederson of New Richmond, and Janice (Tom) Satterlund of Danbury; grandchildren, Gunnar (Silvia) Pederson, Kimberly (Damon) Barta, Laura (Rob) Rydberg, Julie (Steve) Pasell, Jackie (Jeff) Brenizer, Kathie (Tim) Struemke, Jason (Mary Carol) Pederson, Eric (Trish) Pederson, Shane (Kelli) Satterlund, Sonja Niles; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Eugene (Barbara) Miller; former son-in-law, John Walsh; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Esther Miller; husband, Parnell Pederson; son, Peter Pederson; siblings, Vivian (Ken) Guetzke, Arthur Miller, James Miller and son-in-law, John Casey. A funeral service was held Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at First Lutheran Church (218 County Road K) in New Richmond.  Visitation was also Wednesday from 10-11 am at the church.  Interment was in the New Richmond Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
