Viola Knutson 07/09/2013

Viola Marie Knutson, age 95 of New Richmond, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Deerfiled Gabels Care Center in New Richmond.  Viola was born the daughter of Meddie and Elizabeth (Roy) Constant on February 6, 1918 in New Richmond.  She married Wilbur Knutson on June 28, 1939.  Viola was a homemaker and mother and was known for keeping an immaculate home.  She was hard working and dedicated to her family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Meddie and Elizabeth Constant; husband, Wilbur Knutson; and siblings, Tom Constant, Nora Meisner, Walter Constant, Morris Constant, and Donald Constant.  Viola is survived by her children, Donna (Sherman) Belisle, Maxine (Curt) Flatten, Gary (Liz) Knutson, and Rodney Knutson; grandchildren, Bradley Belisle (Cathy Baker), Juli Lepore, Scott (Allison) Belisle, Jim (Tammy) Belisle, Kelly (Michael) Beagan, Mark (Aimee) Flatten, Steve (Sara) Flatten, Deanne (Tony) Gabriel, and Michael (Allie) Knutson; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Joan Constant.  Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 11 am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Somerset.  Visitation was also Tuesday from 10-11 am at the church.  Interment was in St. Anne’s Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
