Nancy Werner 12/09/2011

Nancy J. Werner age 64 of Hammond died Friday, December 9, 2011 at her home.  She was born the daughter of Joe and Eileen (Muir) Weisenberger on June 22, 1947 in Marshfield, WI.  Nancy graduated from Marshfield High School in 1965.  On October 11, 1969, she married Delbert Werner in St. Louis Park, MN.  For 30 years, Nancy worked at American Heritage Care Center.  She loved to read and take trips to Oregon to spend time with her grandchildren whom she cherished.  Nancy was a devoted Christian who was very active at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Woodville.  She enjoyed collecting wind chimes and was known for no reason to throw water (with a hose or bucket) on people, especially her family.  Nancy also liked to play cards and shop with family and friends.  Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Eileen and sister, Susan Weisenberger.  She will be missed by her husband, Del; daughter, Tracy Werner; son, Brian (Amber) Werner; grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrea, Jordan and Sydney; siblings, Marge (Dan) Ligman, Ruth (Tim) Domine, Randy Weisenberger; brothers-in-law, Warren (Karen) Werner, Randy (Laurie) Werner; many relatives and friends.  A memorial service was held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 11:00 am at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Woodville.  Memorial visitation was Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and also Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 am before the service.  Private interment will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials were preferred.  Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Baldwin.
