Mildred Zappa 09/26/2011

Mildred B. Zappa age 96 of North Hudson passed away peacefully Monday, September 26, 2011.  She was born the daughter of Arthur and Albertina (Carlson) Johnson on June 20, 1915 in St. James, MN.  Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Zappa; daughter and son-in-law, Gladys and Neil Welsh; two brothers and four sisters.  She is survived by her daughter, Ruth (Charles) Ritzer of Stillwater, MN; grandchildren, Charles Ritzer, Jr., Terry (Loren) Ritzer; great-grandchildren, Jesse Ritzer, Kayla Ritzer; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tony and Jane Zappa; and many loving nieces and nephews.  A funeral service was held Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at Bakken-Young Funeral Home in Hudson.  Visitation was also Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home.  Interment was in the Houlton Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Hudson.
