MaryAnn Hansen 01/21/2011

MaryAnn B. Hansen, 78 of New Richmond, passed away peacefully in her home after a long battle with cancer.  She was born to Bennie & Mae Austrum on March 4, 1932 in the Town of Martell, WI.  She attended Valley View Elementary School in Pleasant Valley and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1950.  On January 21, 1951, she married Lloyd Finstad and to this union 4 children were born.  Later, she married Harvey Hansen on January 24, 1970 and they had one child together.  MaryAnn was a waitress for more than 30 years in River Falls, Baldwin & Hammond.  She was a member of First Lutheran Church in New Richmond and belonged to the Joy Circle.  MaryAnn was a warm & giving lady who treated everyone with kindness.  She loved her cats and was an avid Packer fan.  MaryAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie & Mae, her husband Harvey, and stepson Scott.  She is survived by her children Gary (Kathy) Finstad of Highlands Ranch, CO, Jean (Dan) Lubich of Marshall, MO, Kathy Finstad of New Richmond, Doreen Finstad of New Richmond, Tara (Mark) Price of New Richmond, stepson Mark Hansen of St. Paul, MN and stepdaughter Brenda (Dale) Jackson of Afton, MN.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Aaron Finstad, Bree (Eric) Chipp, Jack Trinco, Adam Trinco, Gretchen (Gene) Nicholson, Michele (Dan) Kimle, Tony (Jamie Johnson) Engesether, Matt Engesether, Joe (Amanda) Engesether, Kayla Price, Mitch (Lyndsay) Jackson, Luke Jackson; great grandchildren Kai & Keira Finstad, Tate, Grier & Drew Nicholson, Linden Kimle, Owen (Ole) Engesether, Ellie DeWitt, Peter & Tyler Engesether, Josie Engesether.  A funeral service was held Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 11:00 am at First Lutheran Church in New Richmond.  Visitation was Wednesday, January 26th from 4:00-8:00 pm at Bakken-Young’s Beebe Mortuary and also Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am before the service at church.  Interment was in Warren Cemetery in Roberts with Gary Finstad, Dan Lubich, Mark Price, Tony Engesether, Tate Nicholson, Joe Engesether as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be all of MaryAnn’s grandchildren.  Arrangements were with Bakken-Young’s Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.
