Warner, age 74, of New Richmond, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  Marlin was born the son of Ronald and Dolores (Karis) Warner on November 28, 1942 in New Richmond, WI.  He was a graduate of New Richmond High School and attended the University of Wisconsin – River Falls for 2 years.  Marlin worked at Warner’s Dock Inc. since he was 10 years old. He was a member of the Willow River Rod and Gun Club, New Richmond Trailblazers Snowmobile Club, New Richmond Kiwanis Club, and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed following all the sporting events of his children and grandchildren.  He liked to fish, hunt, snowmobile, and take pictures.  Marlin was an accomplished wood worker.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Dolores Warner, and brother, Gregory Warner.  Marlin is survived by his wife, Diane Warner; children, Scott (Stacy) Warner and Karen (Jake) Nichols; grandchildren, Maddy and Taedon Nichols and Natalie and Levi Warner; brother, Gerry (Carol) Warner; sisters-in-law, Sharon Warner and Marilyn Grenquist; brothers-in-law, Paul Grenquist and Sam (Kathy) Grenquist; several nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends.  A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 365 West River Drive, New Richmond.  Memorial visitation was held on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at St. Luke’s and on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
