Marcia Bowen 03/19/2015

Marcia Jean Bowen, age 68 of Baldwin died on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  Born March 29, 1946 in Red Wing, Goodhue County, MN to Harry and Helen (Bergstrom) Claflin.  In 1963 she married Eldon J. Bowen of Waverly, WI where they lived for 38 years.  They moved to Trego, WI for 10 years and back to Baldwin.  Eldon passed away on April 9, 2013.  Marcia enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and quilting.  She traveled to over 40 states, Scotland, England, and Iceland.  She loved going on adventures with her sons, spending time with her grandchildren, and trips to the casino.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Helen Claflin; husband, Eldon Bowen; and brother, Frank Claflin.  Marcia is survived by her 6 sons, Randell (Dan’a) Bowen, Richard (Jamie) Bowen, Michael (Amy) Bowen, Marcus (Sarah) Bowen, Matthew (Rachel) Bowen, and Robert (Colleen) Bowen; 21 granchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Deanna (Jack) Brua; brother, Ronald (Annette) Claflin; sister-in-law, Delane Claflin; aunt, Lillian Larson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  A Memorial Service was held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 7 pm at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home 1750 8th Avenue Baldwin, WI.  Visitation was also Friday from 3-7 pm at the funeral home.  Interment wll be Monday, March 30, 2015 at 12 pm at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner, WI.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Baldwin.
