Aviary Photo_131531632302234263Lori Ann Langer, age 56, of New Richmond passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 with her whole family by her side at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN.  She was born the daughter to Joseph and Karen (Pickering) Langer on July 24, 1961 in Minot, ND.  The family moved to New Richmond in November of 1972 and Lori graduated from New Richmond High School with the class of 1979.  For 22 years, she worked for Kaposia, Inc in Little Canada, MN.  She was an active member of the New Richmond United Methodist Church.  Lori enjoyed crafts and crocheting as well as making gifts for her beloved nieces and nephews.  She is survived by her parents, Joseph and Karen; 3 brothers, Joseph, Steve (Stephanie), Tim (Michele); nieces and nephews, Kevin (Ryanne), Eric (Emilie), Kaylee, Ashley, and Courtney Langer; great nieces and nephews, Aubrey, Andrew, Hunter, Isaiah, Dawson; honorary family, Jim and Barb Vanderwyst and Nikki, Miranda and Mitchel; many aunts, uncles, cousins, God children; and other relatives.  Lori is preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Anne Langer, Lee and Anna Pickering; as well as other loved ones.  A funeral service was held Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 2 pm at New Richmond United Methodist Church (209 E 2nd St.).  Visitation was held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 1-4 pm at the church and on Sunday from 1-2 pm before the service.  Interment was in New Richmond Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to the New Richmond United Methodist Church.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.

    Lori, my only sister, you will be missed. I am normally able to find the words, if not to say, at least to write, but they are failing me now.

    My deepest Sympathy to all the family.I did not know Lori but I did know her parents. And heraunt and uncle Daren.and Muriel my dearest friend

    I worked with Lori almost 30 years ago and we have remained friends. She was in my wedding and the Godmother to our son, Ben. I just visited with her a week and a half before she passed, thankfully. I will miss her always and already do. Good bye friend.
