Esther Krumm 11/18/2017

websiteEsther Joann Krumm, nee Peterson, age 81 of New Richmond, WI, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond.  She and her twin sister Ethyl were born on September 16, 1936 at home on the farm near Baldwin, WI, to George and Olga (Larson) Peterson.  She was Baptized on November 22, 1936 and Confirmed on May 14, 1950.  Esther attended Riverside grade school and graduated Salutatorian from Woodville High School with the class of 1954.  After high school, Esther worked at St. Paul Insurance Company for 4 years. She was married to Virgil Wayne Krumm of New Richmond on December 15, 1956 at Peace Lutheran Church in Baldwin.  They were blessed with three children, Keith, Kevin and Karen.  Esther liked working with jigsaw and word puzzles, reading, doing crafts, and crocheting.  She also enjoyed going to dances, camping, spending time at the cabin, and taking care of her grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Olga Peterson; twin-sister, Ethyl Heldt; brother, George (Doris) Peterson; brothers-in-law, Doug Krumm and Clyde “Skeets” Wiles; great-grandchildren, McKayla Garner and Bradley Garner.  Esther is survived by her husband, Virgil Krumm; children, Keith Krumm, Kevin (Karen) Krumm, and Karen (George Garcia) Pitzen; grandchildren, Alicia Garner, Kyle Krumm, Karl Krumm, Heather (Phil) Hoover, Luke Pitzen; step-grandchildren, Teresa Rogney, Nathan (Angie Swanson) Rogney, Nicholas Rogney; great-grandchildren, Dezi Garner, Kyra Siemers, Kade Krumm, Knox Hoover, Adisyn Pitzen; step-great grandchildren, Rylie Church, Reed Church, Marley Rogney; sisters, Dory Krumm and Betty Wiles; brother-in-law, Norman Heldt; and many other relatives and friends.  A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11 am at the First Lutheran Church 218 County Road K New Richmond, WI.  Visitation was on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 4-8 pm at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel 112 W 3rd Street New Richmond, WI and on Wednesday from 10-11 am at the church.  Interment was in the New Richmond Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.

    Esther was one of my mom’s favorite friends. I hope they’ve met again and have taken over where they last left off! You have my sympathy at this difficult time.
