Ernest Wittstock 12/15/2010

Ernest J. Wittstock age 96 of New Richmond passed away peacefully surrounded by his children Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the St. Croix Health Center.  He was born the son of Paul Carl Henry Albert and Emma (Arndt) Wittstock on February 12, 1914.  On February 19, 1943, Ernest married Mildred Newville in Reeve, WI.  He worked and retired from Friday Canning as a Field Foreman.  Ernest was a long time member and the oldest member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in New Richmond.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Oct. 2010); parents; brothers and sisters; infant daughter, Brenda Wittstock; grandchildren, Sarah Stewart, Jon Moe; and daughter-in-law, Karen Wittstock.  Ernest will be missed by his children, Richard (Cherie), Ronald (Judy Baker), Marion (Roger) Gust, Edward (Melba), Susan (Steven) Rudd, Joanne (Bill) Neuman, Eileen Wittstock, John (Judy), Roger (Dianne), Shirley (Jim) Schweitzer, Mark (Brenda Marlette), Paul (Melissa); many grandchildren, great grandchildren; and great great-granchildren.  A funeral service was held Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11:00 am at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in New Richmond.  Visitation was Monday, December 20th from 4:00-8:00 pm at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and also Tuesday from 10-11 am before the service.  Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.  Arrangements were with Bakken-Young’s Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.
