Dale M. Larson 09/17/2011

Dale M. Larson age 88 of Star Prairie died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Westfield’s Hospital in New Richmond.  He was born the son of Hans and Seslene (Thompson) Larson on February 7, 1923 in the Town of Alden, Wisconsin.  Dale served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.  On December 20, 1946, he married Mae Ruby Thompson.  The couple farmed for four years until moving to Star Prairie in 1953.  Dale worked at DoBoy for 17 years, worked in the twin cities doing contruction and worked at Utgaards Hatchery.  Dale retired from the St. Croix County Highway Department in 1989.  He was a life-long member of West Immanuel Lutheran Church and a member of the New Richmond VFW Post 10818.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Seslene; wife, Mae (2009); sisters, Ella (Harvey) Larson, Alma (Ernie) Foss; brothers, Lawrence, Henry, LeRoy and Ernest (Arlene) Larson.  Dale is survived by his son, DeLoy (Shelly) Larson; grandsons, Jason (Deb Carty) Larson, Jeremy (Caroline) Larson; great-grandchildren, Eric Larson, Ashley Larson, Kimberly Kellogg; great-great-granddaughter, Kailynn Larson; sister-in-laws, Minnie Larson, Lorraine Larson; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.   A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 2 pm at West Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Alden, WI.  Visitation was also on Thursday from 1-2 pm at the church.  Interment was in the West Immanuel Church Cemetery with the VFW Post #10818 of New Richmond provding honors.   Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
