Charlene Jensrud 10/22/2015

Charlene E. Jensrud age 72 of River Falls, formerly of Fargo, ND passed away peacefully with her children, her sister and brother-in-law by her side on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Our House Assisted Living.  She was born the daughter of Godfrey and Agnes (Nelson) Johnson on August 21, 1943 in Crookston, MN.  Charlene grew up on a farm and had a life-long love of horses.  She attended Crookston Public School with the class of “61”.  She worked at a dental lab for 30+ years in Fargo, ND and moved to River Falls in 2005 to be closer to her children.  Charlene volunteered at the River Falls Public Library and was a member of Ezekiel Lutheran Church.  She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.  Her children were the most important thing in her life and she always worked very hard to provide for her family.  She will be missed by her children, Tammy (Rick) Ostgard of Coon Rapids, MN, Tana (Keith) Minich of Hudson, WI, Troy (Tami) Jensrud of River Falls, WI; grandchildren, Kyle Ostgard, Casey Ostgard, Cary Ostgard, Ashley (Tony) Pavlish, Brady Minich, Mason Jensrud, Carter Jensrud; great-grandchildren, Jack and Bella Pavlish; brothers, Harlan (Hope) Johnson, Jerry (Joann) Johnson; and sister, Karen (John) Hendrickson.  Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Godfrey and Agnes; and brother, Kenny Johnson.  A memorial service was held Monday, October 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls.  Visitation was also Monday from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church.  Private interment will be at a later date.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
