Carl Kuhlmann 12/23/2015

Carl J. Kuhlmann, age 82 of Baldwin, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at his home.  Carl was born the son of Hans and Mary (Follmouth) Kuhlmann on November 27, 1933 in Kensett, Iowa.  He was married to Donna Mathiason on January 10, 1954 in Bolan, Iowa.  Carl and Donna moved to their farm in Erin Prairie, WI in 1958.  Carl farmed, was a bulldozer operator, and worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for various companies, retiring from Value Implement in Baldwin.  He loved to hunt and fish.  Carl and Donna enjoyed traveling and camping in their motorhome.  He was a kind, compassionate man who was always willing to help and had a great sense of humor.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Mary Kuhlmann; wife, Donna Kuhlmann; son, Brian Kuhlmann; son-in-law, Richard Hanson; and sisters, Margaret Dietrich and Arlene Stoddard.  Carl is survived by his children, Carlene Hanson, Keven (Cheryl) Kuhlmann, and Randy (Michelle) Kuhlmann; grandchildren, Rick Hanson, Jason (Natalie) Hanson, Cory Hanson, Brandon Kuhlmann, Krystal Kuhlmann, Christopher Kuhlmann, Cody Kuhlmann, Allison Kuhlmann, Erica Kuhlmann and Chastity Kuhlmann; great-granddaughter, Chloe Hanson; sister, Dorothy Greibrok; and many other relatives and friends.  A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 3 pm at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home 1750 8th Avenue in Baldwin.  Visitation was also held on Saturday from 2-3 pm at the funeral home.  Interment was in the Baldwin Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Baldwin.
